...my best to you for a Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWe wish you and Miriam a wonderful holiday filled with much happiness and perhaps some bird sightings as well. The male cardinal is perhaps the most well known bird representative of the holiday and a personal favorite as well.
ReplyDeleteDavid, even though I neglect to comment on all of your postings, know that the extensive background and photos you and Miriam and others provide are amazing.
Also, I appreciated your comment that the whether or not a blogger allows or prohibits comments on a specific post is a personal decision as the blog owner. That said, I can respect a differing opinion.
Cardinals always remind me of Christmas.
ReplyDeleteHave a merry one, David and Miriam!
Hi David - they beat our robin in colouration ... but wish you all the best for the season - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteBut your robin wins out on cuteness, Hilary.

ReplyDeleteOne of the best parts of my year has been getting to know you and learning so much from you. You are a delight, not only to me, but to all you meet. I look forward to another year of sharing what we both love, nature in all of it's glory. Wishing you and your "Sweety" a warm and wonderful Holiday and New Year. And, I know you will share some nourishment with your fine feathered friends who are having to tolerate the coldest of days and nights. Stay warm and safe, David ...

Thank you so much, Andrea. Yes, weather like this pushes our feathered friends to the limit. I just came inside from restocking the feeders and strewing cracked corn on the ground for the Mourning Doves. We do what we can.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Anita. I suspect that religious observance has little to do with most holidays these days.
DeleteHappy Holidays to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteI watched a male cardinal in my yard yesterday, its crest moving with the bitter cold breeze, and marveled at how our birds withstand harsh weather. The bright red color is perfect for Christmas, and I hope you and your family had a good one. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
