Red-tail in the Mist

Red-tailed Hawk Buteo jamaicensis
6 October 2013

For the third day in a row we have had foggy, misty weather, with a little rain thrown in (sometimes a lot) and the air is laden with water. It's a little like looking through a prism.
A Red-tailed Hawk, perched atop a small shed, looked like an apparition when we first saw it, but we managed to get close enough to take a few photographs.

Watch out!
