DeleteYes tonight 8.30 on television at the Royal Albert Hall. I am looking forward to an excellent evening to celebrate the life of David Attenborough, an amazing and unique man, who has brought nature and learning to millions throughout his 100 years.
DeleteI wish I could join you, Pete. Perhaps BBC Earth will rebroadcast it later.

ReplyDeleteYes, he is a wonderful man David, and for such a significant person to be a hundred years old is absolutely incredible. Think of what he has meant to the world. I have seen many of his TV programs. I am joining the line of well-wishers.
ReplyDeleteHugs and kisses, Marit
Just think how the world has changed in his lifetime, and how we have ruined the living world he cherishes.
DeleteYes , and it must be so sad for him to see the path our planet is taking.
DeleteDavid Attenborough is the most extraordinary broadcaster who ever lived. He filmed in black and white and in colour, in HD and 4K. He presented, narrated and produced some of the most celebrated nature documentaries, and he managed to get hundreds of millions of people of many generations excited by life's evolution. I wish him the very best 100th birthday, and I cannot wait to check out the huge concert that will broadcast live on BBC tonight! Some of his wildlife presenter colleagues, including Chris Packham and Steve Backshall, are set to make an appearance there!
ReplyDeleteHe is the greatest of them all. Happy birthday. What a big celebration too.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy watching and listening to him and the series he has made for television.

All the best, Irma

The greatest of them all, indeed.
There was a show on last night that I cought part of with him in Africa and the gorillas.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely.. He is a real treasure. What a pity we have not paid closer attention to his warnings about the destruction of the natural world.
ReplyDeleteI think we have paid close attention. It’s the inaction that is the problem.
