On Tuesday I will be having cataract surgery on my left eye, with the right eye scheduled for 17 November. I am not sure exactly what restrictions this may impose on computer use, but I suspect that there will be at least a couple of days where sitting before a monitor is not recommended.
So, if I don't visit your blog for a few days, you will understand why.
Let me leave you with a few pictures of Lily from our last walk.
You will do great!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Lily! Good choice for this post.
: )
Hello
ReplyDeleteCute photos of Lily! I wish you a speedy recovery from your eye surgery. Take care, enjoy your day! Have a great new week!
Good luck with the OP, take your time, and come back eagle eyed again! Stay safe, hugs, Vaerie
ReplyDeleteThanks for the gorgeous photos of Lily, she is Miss 2020!
Ohh David we are gonne miss you!But the eyes are the most important sense we have, so do what the doctors tell you!You can fantasize /dreaming about beeing out and then have a good little nap!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo of Lily! I met someone the other day just with the same name!It will surprise you in the future heh heh But it is not so pretty as your Lily!
Wish you all good and take care and be safe
Anita
Good luck with the surgery. It's something my ophthalmologist has also recommended and will be scheduled in a few weeks.
ReplyDeleteI had my cataracts removed and new lenses implanted about three years ago. The biggest problem I had was the amount of light coming into my really dilated eyes. I was off the computer for a day or so, and then wore sunglasses while looking at it for another day or so -- and then all was well. I'm sure you'll do well -- my view of the world certainly improved after my surgery!
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the very best, hope all goes as planned. I have a glimmer of a cataract but they are at this stage only wanting to do annual checks. We will all be here when you safely return. Diane
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your surgery!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your surgery!
ReplyDeleteHi David ... all will well - all the very best ... thankfully haven't gone that route yet - but with Miriam to take care of you ... you'll be fine ... take care and with thoughts and hugs from a gloomy wet south coast! Lily and Heather definitely cheer the fray ... cbeers Hilary xoxo
ReplyDeleteMay you have a smooth, successful cataract surgery!
ReplyDeleteGood luck David. Hope to see you back soon.
ReplyDeleteIt is recommended to wear sunglasses when going outdoors. At the computer according to the doctor's recommendation.
ReplyDeleteI hope everything with your surgery will go well, David.
ReplyDeleteI will for sure miss your comments!
Lily is always so sweet ♡
Hope all goes well with the surgery David. Beautiful photos of Lily, she is adorable.

She's a very sweet little sausage isn't she?
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your eye surgery, You'll be fine!
Wishing you well, David. If things are the same as when my mother had her cataracts done, you'll spend an awful lot of time putting in eye-drops for a few days. But the results in mum's case made a huge difference to her - you'll soon be seeing even more birds!
ReplyDeleteHi John: The drops started yesterday and continue for a couple of weeks past the surgery.
DeleteGood luck, David. Wishing you a fast recovery.
ReplyDeleteHi David,
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the surgery, all my friends that have had this are all amazed at the end result, so good to see Lily, she is areal little beauty,
You take care and rest up and give it time to heal
Best wishes
John and Veg
Çok tatlı ve geçmiş olsun:)
ReplyDeleteLily is so precious.
ReplyDeleteSomeday, if I live that long, I will need cataract surgery. So far, it is in control, however.
All the best.
Lily est bien éveillée.
ReplyDeleteBon courage pour l'opération et reposez vous bien.
Bonne soirée

ReplyDeletethanks for telling about the surgery. And good luck with it. Lily is gorgeous as always.
ReplyDeleteTake care. :)
Love the photos of Lily. Best wishes for your surgery. I was amazed at how quickly it is done. I asked the nurse if it was correct that it only took ten minutes and she told me they had timed it and the ops took 8, 9 or 10 minutes. I went from having to stand in front of the television to see the weather forecast to having no problem. I am sure you will be thrilled with the result.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with the eye surgery.
ReplyDeleteLily sure is growing. Adorable.
Oh, Lily, Lily, Lily.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes on a successful eye procedure. You won't regret it.
Wishing you the best with your surgery. Lily and her wild hair - she's always a cutie.
ReplyDeleteAll the best to you on your surgery.
ReplyDeleteAll the best for a successful surgery and speedy recovery! Cute Lily pictures as always.
ReplyDeleteLove the ADORABLE photos of Lily!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck on your surgery, David!
Gorgeous little one.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the operation - I was told yo use magnifying glasses to read with, no problem could see in the distance easily after a couple of days.
I hope all goes well, David - I'll be thinking of you. By all accounts, you'll be amazed at the difference.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the surgery - I wonder what differences in the birds you will see when you come out the other side!
ReplyDeleteHope all is well.
Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
Good luck with the surgery. We are lucky to live in times when what would have made us blind is now routinely fixable.
ReplyDeleteHi David,
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the best and hope that you will recover soon.
Greetings, Kees

ReplyDeleteJust about to leave for the hospital. Thanks to all of you for your good wishes. I am sure that everything will go well.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with that. I'm so glad I had mine done, finally. Right in the middle of COVID, too. Their protocols were excellent, thought.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't shower for 3 days. I recovered pretty fast. I bet you will, too.

ReplyDeleteYou will have brand new vision like Lily! That is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute little friend you have! Wishing you the best doctors and a speedy recovery, David.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, David, and sure all will go well. Many of us, myself included, have had cataract surgery which is quicker than the time required for the eyedrops before and after the procedure. My far distance is great, but now I have reading glasses all around the house!
