Daina has a friend who recently delivered a healthy baby boy and she had decided to make a baby quilt as a gift for the newborn. It's hard to believe but the baby put in an appearance two weeks before the quilt was complete; couldn't wait to get to the quilt, I guess!
This was Daina's first attempt at quilting, in fact her second project only, and she enlisted Miriam's help to get her through some of the finer points of the art. Miriam was amazed from the get-go at Daina's proficiency and was impressed with her attention to detail.
The quilt is very attractive indeed and speaks to Daina's excellent taste in selecting and assembling the fabrics.
Miriam said that her cutting was as accurate and precise as a seasoned veteran. It was a pleasure for Miriam to work with Daina to offer her a little advice here and there and pass on the benefit of her experience.

I have the delight every day of living with an accomplished quilter and creative artist and now I have a second one coming to visit. How lucky can one guy get!
