This is no more than a quick note to let everyone know that this afternoon I returned home from a vacation in Atlantic Canada. A couple of you kindly emailed me to inquire whether all was well since I had not posted for a while. Perhaps others are also wondering.
We had a great time while away and tomorrow we hope to begin the process of downloading and editing pictures. With any luck I can produce a post covering the first part of our trip by the weekend.
Thanks for being concerned!
Welcome home David and Miriam. I had you down as returning tomorrow! Looking forward to hearing all about your travels - - - Richard
ReplyDeleteOnce we started on the way home we just kept driving a little longer, and hit the road an hour to an hour and a half earlier. So here we are, Richard!
DeleteQuerido David me alegra y espero impaciente tu relato. Un fuerte abrazo para ti y para Miriam.
ReplyDeleteI am very, very happy to hear that you had a great time.
ReplyDeleteI am forever behind in reading, so would not have noticed your absence but am glad to know you had a great vacation (to the ocean perhaps?).... I thoroughly enjoyed your post below and it's wonderful your group can get out and go again. The birds, as always, are wonderful, and the early Fall colors are stunning. (I agree -- no matter what 'they' say, that season definitely starts September 1!)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear about your holiday. I'm so glad you were able to travel and get away -- feels good, doesn't it?!
ReplyDeleteI did look yesterday to see when your last post was. I'm convinced Blogger is not updating my reading list in full.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good time, and I can't wait to see your photos.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're back!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny. I wrote a post about something like this. People disappearing! You don't want to tell people you are away from home, at least I don't like to!
ReplyDeleteLucky you David, we are still in partial lock down and not allowed to travel even to another state. Looking forward to you pixs which are always amazing and in such detail.
ReplyDeleteLove your header photo.
ReplyDeleteWas also wondering if you both were alright, glad to read you are.
Looks forward to seeing what you saw.
How good you could get away for awhile doing what you love.
Take care.
Indeed I was wondering. But then, these days it´s maybe clever not to announce you go on holiday and your place is "empty", it might be empty for real when you come back.
ReplyDeleteWe always put up fake TVs with timers to pretend we´re still home. Sad times.
Looking forward to your adventures.
Super pour le voyage!Vivement les photos! :D
ReplyDeleteBonne journée
I've been wondering if everything was okay with you, because you didn't post anything on you blog, David. We bloggers are like one big family, and it makes me happy when I know you are okay.
ReplyDeleteHugs from Marit
Glad you are safely back home, have a great day, hugs, Valerie

ReplyDeleteLOL - didn't miss ya, coz I wuz away also! Doing same thing today - too many piccies not enough blog space... YAM xx
Hi David - I've just been absent without going anywhere ... but so pleased to read you've had a break away from home - and so I'm looking forward to finding out where you went. I've never been to the Atlantic coast - but would love to visit ... Michael Portillo did some travelling from east to west in his railway travels and enticed me ... and the film Maude ... great scenery and places to visit - as I'm sure lots of wildlife (various) - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a nice vacation. I was thinking of you yesterday, when I spotted a cute little bird in my Dogwood tree. He was too fast for me to get a good look at, to be able to identify him. And then I thought something along the lines of, "If David had gotten that fleeting glimpse, he would know what bird species that was." :-)
People who walk in nature cannot have problems.

Hello,
ReplyDeleteI was wondering where you were, glad it was a vacation and fun times. Take care, have a great day!
I'd wondered if you might have been off chasing some natural wonders, and I'm glad to know you not only were doing just that, you'd had an extended time to do so. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you found. Just last week, the ospreys returned here, and now the monarchs are on the move. It's an exciting time of year!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing your posts!
ReplyDeleteGood to read you have been on holiday, look forward to seeing the photographs.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
David, so nice of you to update all who were concerned about you non posts. Admittedly, I was not among them simply as we were also traveling, once again. It is nice to know how fellow bloggers do miss when there is an absence. i know your future posts, as mine, will catch us up on your fun time away.
Besos.
